It is used to locate and trace cables or metallic lines in walls or underground, to locate and identify fuses or circuit breakers in circuits and to locate open circuits or short circuits in cables and electrical underfloor heating systems.
It can also be used to detect metallic water and heating pipes.
The transmitter operates with 5 voltage ranges: 12 V, 50 V, 120 V, 230 V and 400 V.
De-energised or insulated cables and conductors are detected by generating a signal.
