This board converts a USB connection into a 5 volt TX and RX serial port that you can connect directly to an Arduino Mini/Ethernet or other microcontroller.
Another feature of this board is a jumper on the back of the board that allows you to configure the board to 3.3 V or 5 V (both power output and IO levels).
The board is shipped with 5 V by default, but you can cut the standard trace and solder a jumper if you want to switch to 3.3 V.
