The MOC306XM and MOC316XM components consist of a GaAs infrared emission diode that is optically connected to a monolithic silicondetector, which assumes the function of a bilateral triac driver.
They are for use with a triac in the interface of logic to devices powered by 115/240-VAC lines, such as solid-state relays, industrial controls, motors, solenoids and consumer devices etc.
