The FRITZ!Box 4050 acts as the control center in the Wi-Fi Mesh for fast and reliable connections. The distributed FRITZ! devices - FRITZ! repeater and FRITZ! powerline - work in a single network, exchange information with each other and optimize the performance of all Wi-Fi devices. This means that the best connection is always established where it is needed. Streaming, gaming and downloads are seamless and reach every corner of every room at top speed. The entire Wi-Fi network has just one name, one password and is securely encrypted.
Versatile smart home and convenient telephony
The integrated DECT base is used to control smart home devices such as the FRITZ!DECT 302 radiator controller, the FRITZ!DECT 200/210 switchable sockets, the FRITZ!DECT 440 push-button and the FRITZ!DECT 500 LED lamp. One analog telephone terminal and up to six DECT telephone handsets are connected via the VoIP-capable PBX of the FRITZ!Box 4050. Smartphones also become fully-fledged VoIP telephones via WLAN. Several integrated answering machines, local and online telephone directories and numerous convenience functions round off the wide range of features.
Extensive multimedia functions
The FRITZ!Box 4050 enables access to connected USB and online storage devices and the content stored on them in the home network. Thanks to the integrated media server with NAS connection, stored movies, music and pictures are made available and can be distributed to playback devices via smartphone, for example. The FRITZ!Box 4050 is therefore a powerful platform for networked multimedia applications such as IPTV, video on demand or 4K streaming.
