Inline flow measurement
Micro-bridge air flowmeters for high throughput in the AWM5000 series are accommodated in flow enclosures that function like venturi nozzles. They measure air flows of up to 20 standard litres per minute (slpm) and cause a maximum pressure drop of 2.25 inches H2O. The micro-bridge chip is in direct contact with the air current, which significantly reduces the risk of measuring errors due to a restriction of the diaphragm or bypass channel.
Rugged, versatile enclosure
The rugged plastic enclosure is constructed to withstand system pressures of up to 50 psi and the small sensor withstands shocks of up to 100 g without sacrificing performance. The built-in AMP-compatible connector ensures reliable connection in the most demanding applications.
Integrated signal conditioning
Each AWM5000 sensor contains circuits for gain, linearisation, temperature compensation and gas calibration. Independently of the flow range (5, 10, 15, or 20 SLPM) or the calibration gas (nitrogen, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide or argon), all models provide the possibility of linear output from 1 - 5 V DC. All calibrations are performed using active laser comparison
