The introduction of this new digital signal board extends the scalability and flexibility of the Simatic S7-1200 family of compact controllers.
The new signal boards with optional digital inputs or outputs facilitate high-frequency applications whilst maintaining the same installation volume.
• 200 kHz inputs and outputs for high-speed counters and pulse generators
• 24 V DC version for HTL signals for connection to industrial standard sensors and actuators
•The clock and direction inputs for high-speed counters can be routed on the signal board.
All S7-1200 CPUs can optionally support one or two high-speed counters @ 200 kHz, depending on the signal board being used.
This increases the maximum number of available high-speed counters on the CPU 1211C and CPU 1212C.
• The pulse output for PWM pulse generators can be routed on the signal board.
All CPUs including CPUs with relay outputs can optionally support one or two PWM pulse generator outputs @ 200 kHz, depending on the signal board being used.
The pulse and direction outputs for PTO pulse generators can be routed on the signal board.
CPUs with relay outputs can optionally support one or two PTO pulse generator outputs @ 100 kHz, depending on the signal board being used.
