Control of low-voltage devices (application example)
If you need to switch low-voltage devices, the SSR add-on allows you to control them via The Pill by Shelly. Connect small fans, LED indicators, solenoid valves or other 30 V DC loads to the add-on's outputs, power the Pill and connect it to your Shelly Smart Control app.
Each channel can be automated based on sensor data, schedules or scenes. This way, your devices switch on exactly when they are needed. The Pill by Shelly simply sends the command and the add-on switches the load safely and reliably.
Automated valves and locks (application example)
The SSR Add-on enables the automation of small solenoid valves used in door locks, water fittings or simple mechanical interlocks. Wire the solenoid valve to one of the SSR channels, connect the add-on to The Pill by Shelly and control it directly via the Shelly Smart Control app.
You can open valves when irrigation is needed, unlock access points remotely or trigger mechanisms based on sensor data or schedules. The Pill sends the command and the SSR takes over the safe and silent switching.
DC fan and ventilation control (application example)
For ventilation and cooling setups, you can connect low-voltage DC fans to the SSR add-on and let The Pill control the airflow automatically. Wire the fan to an SSR channel, connect The Pill to the Shelly Smart Control app and set when the fan should run. For example, according to a schedule or in response to temperature measurements.
This makes it easy to cool enclosures, renew the air in small rooms or maintain a stable climate in equipment cabinets. The SSR ensures smooth and silent switching of the fan.
