With the 221 series connection terminal, WAGO enables tool-free wiring for all types of conductors. Clear handling and space-saving design make any application child's play.
Simple, fast and safe handling
The connecting terminals are particularly easy and quick to open. Thanks to the specially designed operating levers, only minimal force is required to open the 221. The connection is done completely without tools. In addition, the side recessed handles prevent slipping and ensure easy grip of the clamp while connecting the conductors.
Safe: Two test ports
The 221 series connecting terminals have two test holes: One from the conductor connection direction and one on the opposite side. The test openings guarantee comfortable test conditions even when installed in a wide variety of installation environments. In addition, their versions ensure good contact with all common test probes. In addition, the highly transparent housing supports error-free connection
For all types of conductors
With the small connection terminal up to 4 mm2, all types of conductors with different cross-sections are clamped quickly and easily. The 2-, 3- and 5-wire terminals connect fine-stranded conductors from 0.5 to 6 mm² as well as single- and multi-stranded conductors from 0.5 to 6 mm². The large connection area allows you to connect different types of conductors and to bridge large cross-section differences.

The new mounting adapters are available for all 221 series terminals (2, 3, and 5 conductors) and can be mounted both upright and horizontally. Attach the adapter simply by snapping it onto the mounting rail or using screws on smooth surfaces. The flexible fixing claws allow you to easily insert and release the clamps. Thanks to its practical design, the new adapter is just as easy to handle as the 221 itself You can connect and release conductors before or after the terminal has been attached to the adapter. The design also ensures that a test opening is always accessible. This means that it also complies with the valid VDE standards. In addition, the adapter provides space for individual labels.
