The PoE+ switch is an indispensable active device in any network structure that uses power transmission via structured cabling. The RSFE-16P-2C-250 is suitable for all installations: Home, business, low power, surveillance, IP, VoIP and cable TV networks and is particularly used in alarm, fire and access control infrastructures.
In addition to the main function of the switch, i.e. handling Ethernet data traffic between the ports, it also supplies each device with power in accordance with PoE/PoE+ - 802.3af and other standards. This means that the devices can be supplied with a total power of up to 250 watts. And all this with simultaneous data transmission to the devices.
This saves resources, space and time that would be required to install a separate electrical and network installation. This is particularly important if the network is scattered and the end devices have no access to a power source, especially if they are installed outdoors.
