The NF-A9 is a highly optimized silent 92mm fan in premium quality. Thanks to Noctuas AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimization) frame system as well as advanced aerodynamic design measures such as Flow Acceleration Channels, the NF-A9 offers an even better silent cooling performance compared to the award-winning NF-B9. The PWM version is equipped with Noctua's specially designed NE-FD1 IC for fully automatic speed control and is supplied with a low-noise adapter, which allows a reduction of the maximum speed from 2000 to 1550rpm. Its superb smoothness, the SSO2 reference class bearing and Noctua's proven premium quality make the NF-A9 PWM a top-of-the-line solution for the highest demands.
Successor to the multiple Test winner NF-B9
Noctuas NF-B9 has become a standard solution for PC enthusiasts who require 92mm premium quality fans. By far-reaching aerodynamic optimizations, the NF-A9 achieves even higher static pressure compared to its well-known predecessor, as well as a further improved ratio of flow rate and noise emission.
Flow Acceleration Channels
The impeller of the NF-A9 is equipped with so-called flow acceleration channels at the suction side. The acceleration of the air flow in the critical outer regions of the fan blades reduces the suction-side vortex-ablation, resulting in higher efficiency and lower turbulence-related noise emission.
Stepped Inlet Design
The stepped inlet area of the causes more turbulence in the inlet. This facilitates the transition from laminar to turbulent flow, which is better attached to the frame (flow attachment) and thus increases the suction capacity of the fan, especially when the intake area is limited.
Integrated Anti-Vibration Pads
The anti-vibration pads, made from extra-soft silicone, reduce the transmission of minimal vibrations while being compatible with all standard mounting systems and fan clips used in CPU coolers.
SSO2 bearings
The NF-A9 is equipped with the further optimized second generation of Noctua's proven SSO storage system. At SSO2, the rear magnet sits closer to the fan axis, resulting in even better stabilization, resulting in further improved precision and durability.
PWM IC WITH SCD
The NF-A9 PWM supports fully automatic speed control via PWM and uses Noctua's new, specially designed NE-FD1 chip. This new PWM IC integrates Noctua's smooth commutation Drive (SCD) technology, which minimizes PWM switching noise and makes the fan even quieter at low speeds.
Low-Noise Adapter
The NF-A9 PWM is supplied with a (L.N.A.) that reduces the maximum speed from 2000 to 1550rpm. This allows you to operate the fan at a constant 1550rpm or limit the maximum speed in PWM operation.
