Designed for bonding cylindrical fitting parts, particularly with narrow bond gaps up to 0.25 mm (0.01''). Fast curing on all metals, including passive substrates like stainless steel.
LOCTITE® 638 is a bonding adhesive that offers high strength on all metals, including passive metals. The product offers high temperature performance and good oil tolerance, a fixture time of just four minutes and gap fill of 0.15 mm to 0.25 mm. LOCTITE® 638 even tolerates minor surface contaminants, including industrial oils. The high viscosity product is ideal for shafts, gears, pulleys and similar cylindrical parts. The operating temperature is between -55°C and 180°C. Meets the requirements of KIWA GASTEC QA AR 214 for hydrogen gas mixtures with up to 100% hydrogen gas. Certifications are available in select countries.
