Noiseblocker is passionate about extremely quiet fans. The Multiframe models in particular, with an innovative housing and suspension, are the flagships in the company’s range. Noiseblocker is expanding the range to include very small fans with the BlackSilent range. These are enjoying growing popularity due to their use in compact, mini and HTPCs plus hard drive enclosures.
The limited throughput of these small fans under 80 mm thick is often increased by relatively high speeds, which results in a lot of noise production. Noiseblocker has tackled this issue head-on and designed a series of small, ultra-quiet models. So the HTPC in the living room won’t spoil your movie viewing pleasure.
The external hallmark of all the fans is a black frame with blue transparent fan blades. The XR2 model features a 60-mm rotor in the Silent edition. The engine speed is therefore also only a low 2200 rpm, resulting in a very low volume of 15 dB(A).
Four silicone pins are included for attaching the fan. This also reduces operating noise as any vibrations are not transmitted to the housing. The connecting cable is neatly sheathed and fitted with a 3-pin connector.
