Pressure switches switch a circuit on or off manually. A distinction is drawn between switching and push-button functions. A switch opens and closes a circuit permanently. A push-button, on the other hand, closes the circuit only as long as it is actuated and then returns to the initial position. A distinction is drawn between normally closed and normally open contacts. Switching on/off is done by pressing an actuator and not by pressing a rocker switch or turning a knob, as is the case with a rocker switch or a rotary switch. Thanks to this proven functional principle, pressure switches are extremely durable and robust.
