The GP2-2400K is a distance-measuring sensor unit with a combined PSD (position sensitive detector) and IRED (infra-red-emitting diode) and associated signal processing circuit built in.
The reflections of the object are not easy to classify due to the influences of factors such as ambient temperature and battery life.
The output voltage of the sensor remains high if an object exists in the specified range, enabling this sensor to also be used as a proximity sensor.
