The Profibus Stripper No. 2 tool cleanly strips the outer sheath and the shielding underneath to strip the Profibus wire so it can fit its connector. Using the scale in the module for visual length scaling, the correct stripping length can be selected to make Ethernet cables fit FastConnect connectors. The standard stripping lengths of 17 mm, 20 mm, 24 mm and 30 mm are visually marked in the module. The stripper has been developed to cut 5.5 mm to 8 mm Profibus cables with two blade pairs accurately at the same time. The cut profile is perfect for FastConnect connectors - even with different cable diameters. If required, the blade pairs in the half-shells can be changed or replaced.
