Equipped only with key management functions, the EasySmart switch DGS-1100-24 is ideal for building a modern network environment. It is characterised by ease of use and intuitive management. Special IT expertise is not necessary, because installation and configuration take place via Plug & Play. In addition, the switch comes without fans and can thus be used directly without distracting background noise in the workplace.

Small and powerful
The EasySmart switch allows the establishment of an effective and secure network. The feature set includes 802.1p priority queuing, which prioritises time-critical applications and thus ensures uninterrupted transfer. For optimal management of the bandwidth, a maximum value (in Kbit/s) for sending and receiving data can be determined for each port. Reducing the individual ports enables the maximum throughput for the most important network devices.
Especially for surveillance applications, IP cameras can be easily integrated in the network via ''Auto Surveillance VLAN'' and the recordings fed in without overloading the entire system.

Focus on security
As part of the increased security, among other things, the DGS-1100-24 can optionally be switched to the storm control function. After this broadcast, multicast and unknown unicast packets that exceed a certain threshold for the packet receipt will not be processed and the network will be protected from flooding. Static MAC addresses allow the limitation of the network access to only authorised terminal devices at port level. The automatic blocking of network loops (loopback) to cascaded switches or on the smart switch itself allows administrators to be much more relaxed in their work. The integrated VLAN function rounds off the equipment and supports the setting up of separate network segments - e.g. for particularly sensitive corporate divisions.

Energy saving: D-Link Green
The DGS-1100-24 is equipped with D-Link Green technology, which significantly reduces power consumption and thus the operating costs without sacrificing performance. A further advantage is lower heat emission and operating temperature, which extends the life of the switch.
