Verbatim double-layer DVDs have an impressive storage capacity of 8.5 GB. This is possible thanks to the development of a new substrate layer located between the recording layers, so that both sides can be written using a laser. Once the first layer is full, recording is continued on the second layer.

Verbatim media have the highest recording speeds and are also printable. The printed colours are as vivid and bright as the original.
