Description

In the age of the Internet and digital photography, slides, negatives and even photos eke out a miserable existence in magazines, folders, shoeboxes and cigar boxes. It's a shame they don't find their way onto websites and social media platforms. And the purest disaster when the collected memories gradually fade and fall victim to the ravages of time.

Digitised, restored, preserved

With the PDF-S 240 SE multi-scanner from Rollei, you can digitise your photos and make them accessible for optimisation through modern image processing. Try out the possibilities the included software opens up for you if you have scanned photos from grandfather's or great-grandfather's time. You can make cracks, scratches and stains disappear, and optimise brightness and contrast to reveal details you might not have spotted on the original. The high resolution of the PDF-S 240 SE of 1800 dpi, interpolated even up to 2400 dpi, also allows you to expose the scan data in much larger formats than the often very small historical originals - scan your ancestral gallery, large enough for today's picture frames, or share the pictures with relatives and friends on the web.

Multiscanner for photos and films
With the Rollei PDF-S 240 SE, you get a multifunctional scanner that can be switched between reflected light mode - for photos up to image size 13 x 18 cm - and transmitted light mode - for negatives as well as mounted slides and slide film strips - with a simple flip of the switch. This means you are well equipped to digitise your entire analogue archive. Exposure is automatic, but can be adjusted individually if required. Pure white LEDs ensure true colour reproduction, both in incident and transmitted light mode. It is not absolutely necessary to connect the Rollei PDF-S 240 SE to a computer for your scans. Simply check the results on the integrated 2.4-inch TFT colour display and save the scan data on your SD, SDHC or MMC card, for which the device offers a slot.
